About Us

Pastor Danny Miller: The Pastor of Hope Church is Danny Miller from Portsmouth, England. Danny became a Christian in 1985, and has been involved in church leadership since 1990. After graduating from Bible College in Scotland, Danny has been in full-time ministry since 2000, including serving as Youth Pastor in Pennsylvania, USA. After his return to the UK, Danny became pastor of Hope Church in 2010.
Pastor Danny is a fully credited AoG Minister, is married to Joanna (both pictured below left) and they have two young daughters, Grace and Elliana.
Danny is an avid reader and a lifelong Pompey fan. (Bless!)

Vision for Hope Church: The vision for Hope Church is to introduce, equip and impact.
We exist to introduce people to the love of God and His forgiveness that's available to everyone. To equip believers with the tools to live out their lives effectively that would impact the world around us.

The history of Hope Church: In 2004 a church plant and a house church that had been ministering separately in Rotherham for many years, joined together to become known as ‘The Hope of Rotherham Christian Church’. This community of believers has been meeting in various premises throughout Rotherham. In 2010, Pastor Danny Miller took over and has since changed the name to ‘Hope Church’. Hope Church is a growing, friendly, family church affiliated to the British Assemblies of God.

Building Project: Hope Church is in the process of moving to its own building in Rotherham. The church has been worshipping in a Methodist property for the past three years, and has now outgrowing this, which has led Hope Church to look for a larger, permanent place of their own.

Ministries: Danny Miller is Pastor, Graham Lynes is leader of New Horizons, Joanna Miller is leader of Springers, Trevor & Anisa Jones head up Youth Fellowship for our teens, Jill Riley is head of our Prayer/Intercession Ministry, Paulette Williams heads up the Women’s Ministry, Danny Miller heads up Men’s Ministry, Linda Eastwood leads our Carer and Toddlers group, Paul Groechel is our Treasurer, Andy Harris leads the Sound Team.
